Shearing Services

KareDan Shearing Services was an outgrowth of the KareDan Farming Initiative sheep flock experience. In becoming the primary shepherd of our flock, Danielle quickly learned that to raise animals you need to be proficient in all aspects of their rearing. In addition to learning all manner of veterinary care Danielle attended the Maryland Sheep Shearing School. We are pleased to offer her services to shear your sheep.

Danielle is a licensed massage therapist and uses these skills to handle the animals gently and well. Her primary concern is for the safety and well-being of the animals. She brings this care and concern for the animals to the shearing of your flock.

Small flock shearing can include variations in shearing conditions which large flock shearers find problematic. Danielle is well-equipped to handle these conditions as we have a small flock ourselves.
